In-home aged care research

Have you been approved for a Home Care Package?

I am talking with people in Victoria who have been approved for a Home Care Package, both those in the queue and those who receive a package.

I am an experienced researcher who enjoys talking with people about important social issues such as aged care. I would like to come to your home to talk with you in person.

Our conversation will take about 30-45 minutes. You are welcome to have a family member or friend with you.

The Department of Health has funded this project. They want feedback from people who use either Commonwealth Home Support Program or Home Care Packages.

Your name will be kept confidential and no identifying information about you will be used.

  1. I am POA for my father who is 95 yrs old. I handle the administration of his care needs as well as some of his actual care (outside of his home care package). He received a level 3 Home Care Package which began in October 2017, through the recently introduced national allocation system.

I would be more than happy to participate in your research on behalf of my father if this is still ongoing – I believe I can offer some worthwhile insights. I’ve also been my mother’s advocate, (who suffered from Alzheimer’s) in residential high care over the past 6 years, until her death in May this year.

I look forward to hearing from you.
